Why is SmartSaver free?
SmartSaver’s personalised energy report is free for users. The service is funded by our partners, whose clearly labelled advertisements may appear in the report and within the service. No payment card is needed to subscribe.
What does the beta phase mean?
SmartSaver is in public beta. You can use the service as normal, but we are still developing its features, recommendations and report content before the official launch. Some features or content may change during the beta phase.
Do I need a spot electricity contract?
SmartSaver is most useful for households on spot electricity contracts, where the price of electricity varies by the hour. The report helps you quickly see when to use electricity, shift its use to another time or avoid using it.
Why do you ask for information about my home?
Your location is used to include a local weather forecast in the report. The report is tailored to your home based on your housing type and selected appliances. Building and heating information for detached houses also provides the basis for future SmartHeating features.
When will I receive the report?
The report is emailed to you every day at around 15:00, once the next day’s electricity prices are available. It covers the period from 15:00 that day until 23:59 the following day. If the report has not arrived after a little while, please also check your spam folder.
Can I update my home details later?
Yes. You can update your home, heating and appliance details later in My SmartSaver.
How do I add my report to my phone’s home screen?
Open the link to your latest report in your report email. It always opens your most recent personal report. Add this view to your home screen for easy access later.
iPhone (Safari): Open the report in Safari. Choose Share → Add to Home Screen. You may need to open the page menu to find Share. If Open as Web App appears, turn it on. Name it SmartSaver and tap Add.
Android (Chrome): Open the report in Chrome. Tap the three-dot menu → Add to home screen. Choose the option to Install or create a shortcut, then follow the on-screen instructions.
If the link opens inside your email app, open it in Safari or Chrome first. Menu names may vary depending on your phone and browser version.
The link is personal. Do not share it with others.
